In the last post, I had shared the beauty of the Gulmohr tree.
I am fortunate to have a Gulmohr tree right in front of our home. Every day, I spend some time admiring its beauty. During the months of April, May and June, the tree is in full bloom and it is a delightful sight. The petals fall down in gentle showers and these fallen petals make a red carpet on our porch. We jokingly tell our guests that we’ve rolled out the red carpet especially for them!
Here, in this post, with a heart filled with gratitude, I describe the glory of the Gulmohr in a poem. Hope you enjoy reading it!
Ode to the Gulmohr Tree
Dear Gulmohr tree, every morning, I look at you as you stand tall. You appear so majestic as you watch over us all.Your branches are laden with leaves a deep green. When the crimson flowers appear, it makes for a fantastic scene.
Every year, I watch Mother Nature weave her magic. As your branches burst forth into bloom, I feel so ecstatic!
Your green lace like leaves and scarlet blooms reach for the sky. This is a beautiful sight to behold and makes my heart sigh.
Every bough, every branch, is laden with flowers. When the wind blows, they fall down in gentle showers.
On our porch, a red carpet you spread. I tell you, this is a delight for all of us to tread!
Thank you Gulmohr tree, for all that you do. I want you to know that I love you.
A splendid poem of this stunning flame tree! 🙂

Oh, so nice! Thank you so much for sharing your poem, and also for the beautiful and interesting flower photos.
There was once an artist from Mysore who used to paint many Gulmohar trees, his name was N.Hanumiah. I think he must have loved them like you do. I wrote a blog post about him, you can find it here
